A selection of beautiful paintings on paper and canvas, suitable for any space.

I paint captivating and evocative acrylic abstract and impressionist landscapes and seascapes capturing the dynamic interaction of light, colour and texture in the contours of nature.

My acrylic paintings are painted on paper, canvas and wood panel which all give their own different textures. I use various sizes of brushes to create a more abstract and spontaneous finish. To obtain a more impressionist and atmospheric feel I then build up and blend more soft layers of paint.

I like to create intense colour combined with a strong texture but also a soft contour.

I love that using a paintbrush allows me to interpret but at the same time convey the changing mood and atmosphere of the natural landscape.

Each painting is intended to be viewed as if you are there and is something you can identify with, or perhaps as if we have all been there before.

You can see below a small selection of the my different paintings:- large stretched canvases, affordable art and small paintings on handmade paper.

Here are some examples of my large canvas paintings

My large stretched canvas acrylic paintings are primarily in an impressionist style but with the occasional abstract touch.

I use brushstrokes to build layer after layer of paint focusing on light, colour, shadows and texture to recreate the ethereal and evocative feel of the landscape.

Here are some examples of my more affordable art

All these paintings are very affordable and will suit any interior space as they are supplied with a white mount ready to be framed by your local framer in a moulding of your choice. They are all painted in a semi abstract style in acrylic on canvas or paper.

They are evocative landscapes with a few seascapes too, painted with a variation of colour and tone and a fluidity of movement to create the light and atmosphere.

Here are some examples of my more small paintings on paper

I often like to paint small studies on paper as it’s spontaneous and leads to an energy and flow in the painting. Sometimes I will then use that study to start a much larger painting to challenge my creativity.

The small studies have a freedom in the brushstrokes and colour I use, so if a larger painting hits a creative block I inspire myself with some smaller ‘free’ studies.
