Affordable Fine Art: My new collection of Small Paintings on Paper

This new collection of small original paintings are all on paper and in acrylic. The acrylic helps with the spontaneity as it dries so quickly almost as soon as you put the brush to the paper. It is therefore easy to make mistakes but that’s almost the fun of it you never really know how it’s going to evolve.

The freedom of small studies is so different from larger canvases which require more concentration, blending and time so I can do several whilst working on a larger work. They are a beginning but a very important beginning.

Why collect small original art on paper

I use handmade paper which gives a very tactile quality and beauty in the texture so that almost becomes part of the painting as well. I love painting these small original paintings as it gives me a lot of freedom to lose myself in the brushstrokes and the colour and see what evolves. I really like the spontaneity of painting small works on paper where the broader brushstrokes create a more abstract feel with bold colours and texture. That energy combined with the flow in creating the colours and form of the landscape can be extremely satisfying and inspiring when preparing for the challenge of a much larger canvas work.

How to secure your original artwork

Acquiring an original work from this collection of small paintings on paper is a straightforward and secure process. Because these artworks are completely unique, hand-painted originals each artwork is sold on a first come, first served basis. Please follow the steps below to safely add one of these small scale originals to your personal art collection.

Visit my small paintings on paper page here to view images, dimensions and pricing for each individual painting. Each painting is signed on the back and mounted in an off white mount and covered in a plastic sleeve for protection, well packaged and sent signed for by the Post Office.

Secure payment:

Clicking on the chosen artwork will guide you through to an email to me where I’ll check if the painting is still available, request your address details, give you a small price for the postage and provide my PayPal details. As soon I have payment I will package the painting up and send it and email you with the reference for the parcel. Normally it all takes 24/36 hours and occasionally I have to order a mount which may add a few more days.
