One of my seascape paintings
It is painted on paper so I had to be a mix of deliberate and spontaneous with the brushstrokes as the paint dried so quickly. You just can’t work the same way as you would with canvas where you have time to blend or add colour.

Seascape paintings ‘Cloudy Bay’ and ‘Surf Clouds’ are both acrylic on paper. They are from a series of recent seascapes with an abstract feel and slightly textured style painted whilst preparing for a larger canvas and concentrating on the unique light that the meeting of sea and sky brings and it’s effect on the clouds and landscape shadows below.
