This is another painting from my archive that bears a strong resemblance to yesterday’s piece, ‘Rising Clouds.’ It shares similar qualities in its use of colour and the confident, expressive brushstrokes. The addition of subtle, lovely touches—such as the vibrant orange on the horizon and the soft turquoise, accents and enhances the overall composition, creating an harmonious and balanced effect that I feel works beautifully.
The sky is beautifully blended, creating a sense of calm and tranquility. To me, it feels quite soothing, with the confident strokes of light blue gently touching the horizon, while the soft brushstrokes of creamy white give the impression of low, drifting clouds. This subtle interplay of colours invites a peaceful and reflective mood.
It is simple because it harmoniously works with all the gorgeous greens, complemented by subtle touches of grey, blue, ochres, and the vibrant blue sky, beautifully capturing the interplay of shadows and light.
