Here is a small selection of landscape paintings inspired by the beautiful and varied British landscape, capturing the ever changing light, colour and shadow.

These landscape paintings capture my unique contemporary impressionist and abstract style all painted in acrylic with varied brushwork, bold colour and subtle texture. Each piece is different with a mood and atmosphere that would suit any interior space.

Washes of tonal colour unfold across each painting balanced by bold, brushstrokes with delicate, layered glazes to evoke a sense of place rather than an actual view. Cool blues and muted ochres merge with warm coral highlights creating a balance between land and sky textured brushwork.

Whether painted on canvas or paper the moving light brings a personal interpretation.

They are all slightly different in the spontaneity of the brushstrokes but all give their own unique ‘one moment in time’.
