Here’s a quick preview of some of my contemporary impressionist paintings being shown at my new exhibition in London.
Excited to be showing my new collection of impressionist paintings at the ‘Last Supper Gallery’ in Battersea, London from Thursday March 12th to at least the 4th April 2026.
It’s really good to have the opportunity to exhibit my paintings again after a period of time without showing my work due to several personal reasons. Painting has been unexpectedly comforting and a valuable escape during my grief following the sad loss of my mum.
I’ve simply lost myself in a sunset and in all of its shifting beauty, trying to convey a feeling in my own unique style, mainly impressionist for my larger canvases and more abstract for my smaller pieces. The smaller works are often much more spontaneous in their brushstrokes and bolder in their use of colour, whilst my impressionist landscape canvases take considerably more time, built up through many layers and careful blending which I feel gives them great atmosphere and depth.
My paintings convey my deep love of light in the landscape, whether it’s the glow descending or ascending on the horizon, or the way light filters and shifts within the clouds. Whatever the time of year the scenes remain endlessly beautiful and there is always so much to cherish in the changing seasons and times of day through the colours I choose to use.
