My latest landscape painting: Sunset Melody

This new painting, ‘Sunset Melody’ is part of my latest collection and can be seen on my ‘Affordable Art’ page. It continues a series of beautiful sunsets rendered in my semi-abstract style capturing the fleeting mood of evening light.

I particularly love the touches of orange, deep red and rusty tones in the sky with a hint of white shining through the clouds as the dusk settles. I used a fine brush to add delicate detail on the horizon and layered different colours to emulate the sunset creating soft shadows across the foreground.

There is a pleasing simplicity to the limited palette which helps the composition feel calm and cohesive.
