Why not transform your space with my new vibrant landscape painting.
I truly enjoy painting at this smaller size because it allows you to completely let yourself go, immerse in the moment, and just paint freely with music playing in the background. It becomes a kind of escape where you lose track of time and connect deeply with the creative process.
These paintings tend to be quick and spontaneous, offering a wonderful freedom in both colour choices and brushstroke techniques. You have to be fairly deliberate and intentional, as the paint dries rapidly, adding an exciting challenge. This unpredictability is exactly what makes the experience so rewarding—you almost never know what the finished work will reveal until the very end.
‘Molten Sunset’
19 x 19 cms acrylic on paper
‘Molten Evening’ features a subtle use of orange detail along the horizon, adding just the right amount of warm glow. This carefully balanced touch beautifully mingles with the surrounding yellow and red tones, creating a vibrant yet soothing visual effect.
The sky is not crowded with excessive detail; instead, it is composed of delicate brushstrokes in varying tones that gently evoke the gradual transition of the approaching sunset and the stunning array of colours it unfolds.
The overall composition invites a sense of calm and quiet contemplation, capturing the fleeting beauty of that magical moment.
Even though this painting or study is small in size, it remains undeniably beautiful. When placed in the right frame and positioned in the perfect space, it has the power to truly enhance its surroundings. You'll be able to catch the subtle glimmer of the sunset within the artwork, which can evoke memories of that perfect moment—the exact place you were, the feelings you experienced, and perhaps even who you shared it with.
I find great joy in seeing my paintings displayed in various interiors, imagining where they might find their forever home. This process also often helps me determine whether a painting is genuinely complete and ready to be hung in that ideal spot.
