A beautiful small selection of abstract and impressionist landscape paintings

Here is a selection of my abstract and impressionist landscape paintings, along with some of my smaller works on paper.

These pieces come in a variety of sizes and are painted on different surfaces, each created with a range of brushstrokes, tones and colours to create movement, texture and light.

Obviously there is nothing quite like painting a large canvas but I do sometimes hit an ‘artist’s block’ and need time to reflect by producing a smaller, quick and more spontaneous work that helps me out of the rut.

However, that isn’t the only reason I enjoy working on a small scale. The spontaneity is particularly rewarding and these works are for sale at a very affordable price.

Often a compact study will spark ideas for a larger composition and at other times it stands perfectly alone, looking just right framed within a snug interior space. I love showing my paintings within room settings because it really helps you to imagine how they might look in your home or office.

Placing them in an interior context also gives me a clear sense that a piece is complete allowing me to stop working on it which as many artists will recognise is often the hardest question of all…… when to stop and decide it’s finished.

The acrylic paintings on paper or canvas that measure less than 25 x 25 cm are priced at £200 or below and are supplied mounted but unframed (P&P extra).

Larger stretched canvases are priced on request. I reply very quickly so if it’s urgent you won’t have to wait long. I will usually only need to obtain a shipping quote or arrange a special courier fee which is charged at cost.
