Introducing the next painting in my new collection: Sunlit Moment
Why not transform your space with this gorgeous impressionist landscape painting.
Acrylic on stretched (deep) canvas - 80 x 70 cms
Here is my most recent painting literally just finished and taken off the easel. To be very honest it’s had quite a journey to get where it is to where I’m happy with it.
I feel it has just the right amount of impressionist blending and abstract brushstrokes to give the right atmosphere and glow.
If you know my paintings you’ll be aware that I always love to paint that perfect sunrise or sunset as I love the colours and light at both times of the day, so I recreate that in my own way and get my personality within the painting as well.
This painting was painted with my usual very large (DIY) brushes to do my blending of all the layers and layers of different glazes and then smaller brushes to get the detail especially on the horizon.
I love how the blue tones are gradually meeting the the colours of the foreground and all those red, peach and creams peeping through the deeper blue. This painting is quite different from many of my impressionist larger paintings with more brushstrokes showing and more light in the foreground.
You can see all my new paintings here or a variation of different sizes and on paper, canvas and wood on my portfolio page.
