Studio View Blog: Latest Artworks, News and Inspiration.
This Blog ‘Studio View’ is a regular update of my new work, upcoming exhibitions, some work in progress images and photographs of what inspires me to paint.
My work is all about the ever changing light in the landscape.
“Atmosphere is the sensation directed upon the viewer, whereas mood is the actual feeling provided”.
Still one of my favourite small paintings: Ochre Sunset
This acrylic painting shows a hazy Autumn sunset with soft yellow and pink clouds in the sky. Bright colours glow on the far horizon, while dark shadows stretch over the green landscape. ‘Ochre Sunset’ captures the brief moment when the sun sets, spreading a light mist over the hills as warm Autumn colours hang in the sky.
Could this become one of your favourites too?
A little studio view
I thought you might like to see glimpses of my studio and explore the different aspects of this inspiring space, whether it’s my larger canvases, smaller works on paper, or various stages of the creative process.
Its a creative journey which I’d like to share……
Every sunset is different and every single one is unique.
I endeavour to capture a unique essence in every painting, whether there’s a subtle touch of abstract or my impressionist style, you can hopefully imagine having witnessed a sunset like that or feel inspired by the thought of experiencing such a moment.
This painting would fit perfectly in any interior space and would be calming to look at every day.
